Titleist TSi 3 Golf Fairway Wood
Titleist have always produced superb fairway woods which have found favour in the bags of golfers all over the world, with their classic shape being accompanied by class leading performance.
The Titleist TSi 3 fairway wood is the more compact of the two models available and because of this aesthetic it is more likely to appeal to the slightly better golfer. With that said, although the profile is relatively small, it is an extremely forgiving club that will give excellent results on off centre hits. There is a new SureFit CG track on the sole of the club that offers three unique positions allowing the user to fine tune their ball flight in a manner not previously available.
When using a fairway wood, the most prevalent mis-hit is one that is struck low on the face. Tight fairway lies can sometimes make it difficult to achieve a perfectly centred contact and so Titleist have placed particular emphasis on increasing the performance on shots that are struck below the middle of the face. The Active Recoil Channel that sits behind the face has been redesigned and improved and allows the face to flex upon striking the ball dramatically improving results on low strikes.
The Titleist TSi 3 fairway wood has an ultra-thin crown combined with a variable face thickness all of which drives the CG of the club down. This produces high launching shots but with lower spin, enabling towering shots that will undoubtedly increase both control and distance. An amazing feature of the TSi fairway wood range comes at the request of tour players with many of them asking Titleist to produce a club that looked like it had more loft at address. Without actually adding more loft at address this would appear to be an impossible task, but they have certainly achieved it and the club looks more lofted than its stated loft.
